Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Journal for Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things in Developing Countries (JAIIOT), receives three types of manuscripts: Research articles, Review articles, Conceptual articles, and Technical notes.

Research paper:

This should be based on original work, with results confirmed through clearly described research problems, methods, and materials. The methods and experimental procedures used must be clearly described to allow replication. The sites must be clearly described, and the conditions of the experiments must be clearly detailed. The full research paper should be able to describe and interpret the work clearly, but should not exceed 25 pages in length, A4 size, Times New Roman font 12 points, and with single spacing.

Technical paper/notes: Describes and evaluates technical products, processes, or services. A technical note is a short article describing a procedure, technique or specific development. It may describe a new device, method, or modification of an existing procedure, technique, or code of practice. Technical notes should be 7 to 15 pages long, A4 size, single spacing, and Times New Roman font 12 points.

Review articles/Conceptual articles: This category should only be used if the paper's main purpose is to annotate and/or critique the literature in a specific scientific and/or engineering-related field. The contributor is expected to evaluate how each study was conducted and focus on the study design and analysis to compare studies and discuss their implications. Review papers should be concise and not exceed 25 manuscript pages in length, A4 size, Times New Roman font 12 points, and single spacing.

Copyright Notice

In order for JAIIOT to publish and disseminate its research articles, publishing rights from authors are required, which are determined by a publishing agreement or SESIL Publishers’ Policy and Guidelines between the author and JAIIOT. Author rights include retention of patent and trademark rights; retaining the right to use their research data freely without any restriction; citing their own material in new works without permission or payment; and sharing the article.

Author(s) can archive pre-print, post-print, and published version/PDF to any open access, institutional repository, social media, or personal website provided that the published source must be acknowledged with citation and link to publisher version.

Plagiarism is not acceptable with JAIIOT. All submissions will be subjected to assessment for any possible plagiarism using the Drilbit anti-plagiarism software tool.

Authors must solicit permission to reuse any third-party material (photographs, data, illustrations, tables, etc.) in their manuscript. Similarly, this applies to all works extracted from other copyrighted materials.
